Musical Life Lesson #1
Sharp Dressed Man
"Every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man!" Makes sense, right? I mean, who wants to get down with someone who's fashionably challenged? If you're wearing a brown belt with black shoes, super baggy jerseys with another man's name on it, a Hawaiian shirt on a regular basis, jorts (jean shorts), or pleated khakis (sorry, dad), then you're probably fashionably challenged. If you fall into this category, don't worry--there's still hope. Dressing well isn't rocket science, it doesn't make you less manly (for those who aren't secure with themselves), and perhaps equally important, you don't have to break the bank to look decent. Trust me, if you find clothes that are a good fit for you (literally and figuratively), all things in your life are going to fall into place. A good wardrobe will make even the ugliest of men look decent. I'm not going to guarantee you'll get laid if you sport a cashmere sweater to the bar on Friday night or that you'll get a promotion for wearing well polished wing-tips, I'm just saying, they wouldn't hurt. I'm perfectly aware that not all successful people (socially and professionally) dress well and not all people who dress well find true joy and happiness. One thing you can't deny is that when you dress "sharp" and with "style", it shows you give a damn. When you give a damn, you carry yourself with a certain confidence--that, my friends, is when folks who never otherwise would have paid attention, start to take notice.
Let the song be your inspiration.
