I'm not sure if they knew too much about Kwanzaa back then or even Africa's climate. As harsh as this song sounds, the the star-studded group of Band Aid musicians meant well. They were trying to raise awareness to help people and their mission was accomplished. Anyone who says they don't like this tune is a liar. It's phenomenal and will kick the sh*t out of "We Are the World" any day of the week.1. And the Christmas bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom--well tonight thank God it's there instead of you.
2. And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time.
3. Where nothing ever grows. No rain or river flows.
4. Do they know it's Christmas time at all?
5. Feed the world--let them know it's Christmas time.
Happy holidays!!!
Last night I was lucky enough to be able to catch The Killers at the Warfield. I've always liked their music but never considered them to be a band that I love. Seeing groups live can change that in a heartbeat. How would the lead singer from the Neon Trees describe last night's show?
"Fantastic!"
I don't even know if she even reads this, but I want to dedicate this to one of my best friends in the world (you're awesome, NM). I've always loved this song but after she sang it at a karaoke night, she made me like it even more. Friends FOREVER...I hope =).
