So I happen to be flipping through the channels a couple weeks back to find the great, George Michael, on American Idol. I'm not a fan of the show but was so damn curious that I toughed it out and tuned in. His solo efforts and work with Wham! (he totally carried that group btw) were brilliant. Much like some of the other featured artists on this blog, he has quite the body of work (see "Faith", "Careless Whisper", "Father Figure", Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, etc.).
Unfortunately, when you're a celebrity, your life is viewed through a microscope. We haven't heard too much from Georgie since the incident in the LA public restroom many years ago. The AI (and I can call it AI because Ryan Seacrest and I have the same haircut) appearance means that we'll hopefully hear more from this talented pop star from our past. He begins touring later this month, I believe. Let's hope he can produce more classics for us to enjoy. In the meantime, I dare you to whisper, "I want your sex" to someone at a bar or club (jk).
